Here's what YOU can do to help.
You can make a difference!

Donate to our cause. We can use your help. Make your checks payable to "S.O.S. Daniel Murphy High School" and mail them to:

S.O.S. Daniel Murphy High School
4032 Wilshire Blvd. #401
Los Angeles, CA 90010

We ask all Catholics to withhold all tithings and donations to your local parish church. Instead, please click here to download our "In Lieu of My Weekly Contribution" form.

Once you have downloaded the form, print it out and place it the weekly collection basket instead of your usual weekly contribution. The note explains that you are withholding all donations and tithings to the church and to the Archdiocese until Cardinal Mahony agrees to keep Daniel Murphy open. Encourage your family, friends and neighbors to do the same. There are three on each page. Feel free to print these out and distribute them to your friends and fellow parishioners. You may also want to hand them the SOS Fact Sheet that provides some additional information.

If you think your donations to the church should be used for something other than paying off the Archdiocese's abuse settlement, please consider making a donation to our effort to help save Daniel Murphy High School.

Write a letter to Cardinal Mahony. Tell him how much the school means to you and your son. Ask him to keep the school open. You can write to the Cardinal here:

Cardinal Roger Mahony
Archdiocese of Los Angeles
3424 Wilshire Blvd.
Los Angeles, CA 90010-2202

Call Cardinal Mahony to express your support for keeping the school open. You can call him here: (213)637-7288

Write a letter to the Pope. Address him as His Holiness. The address is:

His Holiness, Benedict XVI, PP.
00120 Via del Pellegrino
Citta del Vaticano, Italy

A more informal (but quicker) approach would be to send an email to the Pope. His email address is: benedictxvi@vatican.va

Explain to His Holiness that Cardinal Mahony is closing the school to sell the property to pay off the priest's sexual abuse settlement and you feel doing this would only victimize the children again.
